La Reserva
Reserve
Choose a lot and leave your name. No payment yet: we will send your reservation number and your place in line.
Hear first
Members hear a week before reservations open, and again the day a lot releases. A few letters a year from the grove, nothing else.
Pay in order
When the lot releases, payment links go out in reservation order. You have 48 hours to pay or to decline; an unfilled place passes to the next in line.

On the drying beds now.
Four single lots, picked by hand at 22 degrees Brix. Statuses change from Opens soon to Open, then Fully reserved, as the season moves.
When do reservations open?
Soon. The 2026 lots are drying and resting now. Members are told a week before reservations open on each lot, and the status on every lot page changes from Opens soon to Open the same day.
How much does it cost?
We send the price with your reservation. It is never on the page. A reservation is not a purchase: when your place comes up, you can pay or decline in one click.
How much coffee is in a bag?
Every lot is offered in 250 gram bags, about 8.8 ounces each, roasted here on the hillside. A reservation is for one to three bags.
Is the coffee organic?
Yes. The Sunset Grove has been certified organic by CCOF since January 2023, and the certificate covers the growing, fermentation, drying, milling and roasting of every lot. Every bag carries the USDA Organic and CCOF seals.
Do you sell to restaurants or roasters?
Trade and green allocations are by relationship and very limited. Write to geisha@thesunsetgrove.com.
A note from the grove
La Reserva is our way of sharing the rhythm of the farm with the people who want to follow it. There is no schedule; invitations arrive with the season, and a few letters a year tell you what we are growing, learning and discovering along the way.
Coffee is released in the order reservations arrive. Quantities are limited to each season’s harvest, and when a lot is gone, it is gone until next year.
Fabio & María FernandaThe Sunset Grove, Escondido
Two acres. One harvest. Offered in order.
Every lot is offered to the people on La Reserva first, in the order their reservations arrive, until it is gone.
